Watching Your Language | February 17, 2007

There are phrases of the past that I wish people would integrate into their daily conversations- especially in their office dialogue!

  • How about the tall drink of water when referring to the gorgeous person that just walked past?
  • Or when the store that you used to shop at has closed for good because it went belly up!
  • How can we forget such good use of the English language with the long forgotten haberdashery?
  • The next time someone deceives you, exclaim, “Why, I’ve been hoodwinked”!

Just watch an old film noir movie and you can get some good examples. The amount  of gams in those old films can boggle the mind.
What are some of your favorite phrases that you would like to hear injected into our daily routine?
