Tonight I went to a self-help group that I’ve been attending for the past eight months now. That’s all I can say on the topic. I spied a hottie by the name of Scott across the room visiting from New York that I wanted to say “hello” to after the meeting but he was out of there quicker then a fresh enema.
When he stood up after the meeting was over he appeared to be 6′3″, or so. Boing! Just my type. And he had a hot t-shirt on.
After the meeting I walked down to Walgreen’s to buy some more SlimFast. It’s on sale you know. The diet of Anna Nicole Smith. That’s what was in her refrigerator, as well as methadone, you know!
Oh, I almost forgot! On my walk home I saw the poster For Your Consideration out on DVD today! Perfect! I love his films as well as Catherine Ohara and Parker Posey. So think of me as I lie on my couch tonight having an orange for a snack and enjoying my own company with an anticipated hilarious comedy on DVD.

Watching Your Language

There are phrases of the past that I wish people would integrate into their daily conversations- especially in their office dialogue!
- How about the tall drink of water when referring to the gorgeous person that just walked past?
- Or when the store that you used to shop at has closed for good because it went belly up!
- How can we forget such good use of the English language with the long forgotten haberdashery?
- The next time someone deceives you, exclaim, “Why, I’ve been hoodwinked”!
Just watch an old film noir movie and you can get some good examples. The amount of gams in those old films can boggle the mind.

I hope you all enjoyed your Vanlentine’s day! Did you do something special? I didn’t. And that’s just fine with me.
I made a card for Post Secret and I’ve copped a little attitude that I didn’t see it posted on his/her site. Maybe it got “lost” in the mail. Maybe it’s one of the many pieces of mail that Chicago mail carriers have been known to burn or discard in an effort to get out of work. Maybe the host of Post Secret received it but didn’t choose to post it. Since it wasn’t posted and I took the effort to actually make a submission, I’ll go ahead and post it here.

Alive and Minus Six Teeth

Cuddles comes back from the hospital today minus six teeth. Ouch! The poor guy, he had one tooth broken at the root! But it looks like he’s going to have a healthy recovery. The first thing he did when getting back to my apartment was visit the litter box and then run into the kitchen and whine for food. I’m glad he was hungry. That’s a good sign.
Meanwhile, my mother goes to hospital for what she thinks may be a broken foot. It’s always something, isn’t it?! Snaggle Tooth and Gimpy.

Friend First

“I want a friend first. Someone I can be completely honest with.”
This, coming from a female coworker. You’ll hear it here first- Women and men are like night and day. Completely different.
Reminds me of a riddle I once heard:
Do you know why God gave women vagina’s?
No, why did God give women vagina’s?
So men would speak to them.
Complete honesty? Complete honesty? What do you say to the “Does this make me look fat” question? Good luck if you ever are asked that one!
As far as I can tell, most men want good sex. Sex that is good. If the sex is good, we can come up with something to talk about. Like, “So, when do you want to do this again?” And a friend is good as well. But who wants a good friend that you have sex with and the sex is lousy? Not me. I’d be looking for new friends. And do.
I’ve learned that complete honesty can hurt feelings. Not a good thing to do if you’re trying for a long term friendship. Some things are better left unsaid. Why divulge ALL your secrets and thoughts only to hurt someone else in the outcome? Wouldn’t you seem just a bit more attractive if you had a few thoughts to yourself?
Windows XP Revisited

I’m blogging this in Windows XP. I installed Windows Vista earlier this week and found that it is incompatible with quite a few programs that I like to use.
I’m busy re-installing software and drivers, and you know that can take hours.
